TerraChoice is an Ottawa-based environmental marketing agency. Its services include Science-Based Marketing Strategy, Green Training & Education, Greenwashing Screens, and Green Program Development. It also works with manufacturers to help them achieve the EcoLogo sustainability certification and understand how to market this certification.
TerraChoice wanted a “napkin sketch” overview of its company that could be understood by people at the scientific, government, business and consumer levels.
As TerraChoice has what it considers 360-degree offering, and with sustainability requiring a 360-degree look at the entire lifecycle of any product, we developed a segmented circle to represent the facets of both. Part organic, part scientific in look and feel, the graphic could be used as a whole or in parts for various applications.
A simple but differently formatted folder allows TerraChoice to interchange various services inserts; update information without the cost of reprinting an entire brochure; and include any reports, press releases or other printed materials. A quarter segment of the circle graphic is featured on the face of each of four standard inserts – when put together, they make a complete circle [will the science minds notice this first?]. The piece is printed on EcoLogo-certified paper. The fresh new design provided TerraChoice with a reinvigorated image, and with visual elements they could apply across other applications. The simple kit helped TerraChoice articulate its offering more clearly and project a more professional and sophisticated image, better reflecting its true self.
